Getting that perfect lead in a mystery is what thrills a good detective! When solving a mystery, every once in a while there is that "stumped" moment, where the detective feels like he or she has reached a dead-end or simply can't move forward in the case. Times like these call for taking a step back, looking at what clues have been gathered, and re-evaluating the situation. Every good detective keeps notes!
A small collection of post-it notes, notebooks, and a few paper planes that are good for sending cryptic messages across the room are found on my desk:Yesterday I got stumped on a new mystery and had to re-read what notes I had taken. This is a good practice (the note reading, not the getting stumped habit), especially when one becomes forgetful, or scatter-brained. After a detective re-reads the written notes and re-thinks the situation, a good lead coming out of seemingly nowhere is satisfactory! (Especially when you just discover something in your notes that sends you on a new trail of clues.)
Notebooks, journals, task lists and hint hot lines are all great ways to help get a detective back into the game. What style is your preference when you get stumped on a case?

I've been playing The Captive Curse, and there were times I thought I'd get stuck! But then I used Nancy's tasklist, and that helped. And I also talked to the characters a lot and they actually helped things kick into gear.
I like to write things down a LOT!!
Nancy is always keeping notes and I love that about her. I was walking in Target and saw the Captive Curse in the new release section and was soo excited. The cover art is beautiful... I think you should make a poster of the cover art.I would buy it!!
Will this weekend puzzle be a contest? If not, do you have any plans for any future contests?
Yours Truly,
Ms. Random Nancy Drew Fan =D
I also would like to know if the puzzle will be a contest. And if so, what would the prize be?
And hey, I solved the Captive Curse! I was suprised by the culprit!
Little Jackalope.I just finished Captive Curse yesterday and I loved it!!I'm moving on to the next game.(Is the game preview at the end of Captive Curse what the next game will be??)

I have a whole notebook I bought just for Nancy Drew games. As I go through a game I write down information that I find. And I go back and check it out all the time. The notebook is filed like subjects. But it is the individual games instead. I love Nancy Drew. I used to read her as a child. I am just sorry I never kept the books. JLWatson
I also take notes. It's one of the things I love about playing Nancy Drew. It teach me a lot of things so I also jot down infos I get along the way. In Danger by Design, I remember I also used a history book. :D That was a lot of fun. Thanks for making such exciting games.
