It had been such a long time since I've played CUR and I was surprised that I had forgotten some little details! It sort of felt like I was playing it for the first time, which was awesome! Sheesh, those moving rooms in the dark is so mind-boggling...I love it.
And we spent a good deal of time trying to figure out how to "charm" the gargoyles but forgot about the shortcut we were supposed to use, and then forgot there was one more wand step after those gargoyles. We must have spent an hour trying to figure out that one puzzle! Anyways, after consulting the Message Board, we were able to work out our stuck points together and solve the mystery. I must say, normally I like playing the game by myself in the dark the first time, but replay value is totally worth it enjoying the mystery with another person. You get to look back and say..."Wow, were we clueless or what?" and laugh at the parts we were totally not understanding. XD
Looks like many of you solved the weekend puzzle! Good for you! As seen these were Maritime Flags. Decode them first to get your letters, then use the clue "Reversed" to understand which direction to read them. If you looked very closely at the entire blog post, and highlighted the blank spaces, you may have seen the cipher solution. It's a [rail fence cipher]. So if you read the letters correctly, you'd get [Hidden Passages]. And they are just that. Perhaps they will be in an upcoming game? Perhaps I am pointing you to something you will need to look for? I can't say...

I have a feeling that even if I played DED I'd be like playing it for the first time... I've become too addicted to Sims 3... SAVE ME PLEASE!! I must stop playing Sims and focus on ND before its too late;D I've been a terrible fan, I know. My apologies... Anywho... I like the puzzle answer, I really hope it's referring to GTH.

Oh god, I rememeber the good days with CUR back in '04. 11 years old and was scared to snaps about it. Did you loose some sleep over that game if you remembered when you first played it? I played it not to long ago and I forgot how to play the Betty/Penny game. I didn't know if you were supposed to collect just a few color cards, or actually collect 3 of a kind. *facepalm* I do have to ask you a random question though, how long have you been working for the company? Since the beginning, or did you join on board around a few years back? And I KNEW there was something about that rail saying that added in to the weekend puzzle but I just didn't know what. I just solved the puzzle normally though, I didn't know it had a name to it, never the "rail fence puzzle". Or will there be a rail fence puzzle in the game. Hmm, the mystery thickens. Someone said that in a Nancy Drew game but I forgot haha(:

Hey LJ! Tomorrow is my birthday. And I cannot say how excited I am about this game. But I was reading the comments from your last post and I must say I'm a bit disappointed that we only get to play at night. I was hoping it would be day and night. Night always makes it so much scarier. I'll love it regardless. But I hope the next one will have day and night. Anyway, can't wait.

I had nightmares (well...1!) when I played CUR...I'm not scared of the beast anymore but...Ethal still freaks me out!!!!!!
@ND's #1 Fan: Yes, it does indeed! But, during installation, you have to make sure that you do NOT install it in the default folder, but somewhere else on your computer. Any folder will do, just not the default folder. :)
