"Ach! The Lights!"

"Turn them back on!" as Jacques would say in Treasure in the Royal Tower as Nancy (you) flick on and off the switch in the circuit breaker.

Come on Jacques! One of the best ways to enhance your game-playing experience would be to turn off the lights! If you have played Shadow at the Water's Edge, you would totally understand this Nancy Drew Moment:

But in some cases, like the scarier mysteries, perhaps playing with the lights out would not be such a good idea if you'd rather not be more prone to jumping out of your chair and potentially hitting something with flailing arms as you scream at the top of your lungs.

...

Just a thought.

>.< you just totally discribed me at the end... I don't think I'd hit anything on the way down though... Well, change that, we do have dogs... I wouldn't want to squash them so I guess I'll keep the lights on... ;) I asked my friend if we were going to play with the lights off and she said yes! :0 I think she'll change her mind though. She was freaked out in TMB.

I once flailed while playing Captive Curse so much that I knocked over a cup of tea near by and split it all over my desk and broke my KoKo Kringle magic mug :( . I now must remove all beverages around me before playing any ND game

OOOOO LJ, are you possibly warning us that maybe we should turn off the lights when we play this game? Or that we should be safe than sorry if they are turned on....?

Such a classic Nancy Drew moment! I think I should try playing SAW again, and turning out the lights this time!

Cool! Sadly, I haven't played TRT or SAW... do you know some stores that have TRT??? Most of the stores I've been to just have the newer ones. :(
PS- LJ, how do you get those screenshots, like on the ND moments you do? Thanks!

And I absolutely plan to play GTH with the lights out. No chickening out - I'll follow through! ^.^

~ By the way, my birthday's today. :D I'm happy to celebrate the nearing release of GTH on this day. ;)

Saved the Moment picture onto my computer. Hehe, definitely putting this on my Facebook page. :D
Playing games in the dark, though... I'd say ever since the intro of Crystal Skull suggested it, I have been playing the scary games in the dark - save Captive Curse, I think. Hmm...
