Tesla is Everywhere!

I'm not sure how I lived my life never knowing who Nikola Tesla was until our designer started researching him for The Deadly Device a while back. Yes, I admit I had never heard of him before then. >.< Now he just seems to be everywhere! Our Director of Marketing was recently on a trip and snapped this photo:

Voila! Nikola Tesla is mentioned here! It's like a scavenger hunt success! Also, not too long ago I came by a car named after him. It looked pretty cool!

Where have you found a Tesla reference?

Sometimes, the things don't come to you as much as you seem to think, if you get my drift LJ(: I never heard about Tesla either until just when you were making a mystery that was resourced to him. Then I started seeing everywhere just how everyone was a big fan of Tesla! Maybe everyone is secretly a big fan of the Nancy Drew mysteries...(;

I'm the same way! I have no clue why I hadn't heard of Tesla before DED! Now that I know about him, I see his work everywhere!:D
I did some heavy research on Tesla before DED came out, and I'm glad I did. I found this awesome show that came on History on youtube.

My brother in law didn't know who Tesla was until I started explaining who Tesla was. My mom was impressed by how much I knew about him.
Thank you for including so much History in these games!!:D

So cool! I definatly have to visit this Nikla Tesla corner when I visit Seattle. I feel so behind. I've had to catch up on your last three posts. I've never seen Tesla mentioned but,in an old antique shop in my town,there's alittle Tesla coil replica. it look pretty awesome.(I had a Nancy Drew moment when I saw the sign on it 'DO NOT TOUCH')

From me,

Haha! I can not believe that you didn't know who Tesla was was! It reminds of the time I thought the Tesla coils were actually called Tessera coils... Try explaining that to you're 8th science teacher!!!

My dad actually has a Tesla car!
And of course, there was the whole "Let's build a g**d*** Tesla museum" thing. All of a sudden, Tesla was everywhere!

Funny you should ask, we were rewatching the movie 'Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs' the other day and the scene where his mother tucks him in (and gives him his white lab coat) there on his bedroom wall his a giant Nikola Tesla poster!! I never knew who he was either until DED came out.

So... in what city is that 'Nikola Tesla Corner' ?

You know, there's this old game called Airfix Dogfighter (it's about airplanes - boring in comparison to Nancy Drew, of course!!) and one of the weapons you can use on your little plane is a laser called a "Tesla Coil". :)
