Office Christmas Potluck!

Sorry everyone! I was out sick yesterday and therefore missed Monday's post since I wasn't in the office. :( That means we have a lot to catch up on! First things first: the weekend puzzle was a rather easy one. Just find all of the letters that were bold and underlined in the last post and you will learn this: [Christmas Greeting Video.] That's right! We have a silly video that is involving most everyone in the office. :P Stay tuned and subscribe to our YouTube Channel where it will be posted soon!

Second thing: There is a new poll to the right, and this one is multiple choice and will last until the end of the month. We want to hear your opinion! If there is something that was missing on the selection list, share your thoughts on the post we have on Facebook, or write a comment to the blog here.

Thirdly, we here in Washington had our first snowfall overnight. It was only a couple of inches, and not very cold out, so it melted before I even came into the office...sorry, no picture worthy for the blog on this! (Oh, and Jayme, one of our artists, spotted a raccoon outside, but since it was too far away, I wasn't able to snap a photo of it, either.)

What I was able to snap a photo of was today's company Christmas potluck and white elephant gift exchange. Here lies the feast, which will pose long enough for the camera, unlike raccoons and melting snow...

In the gift exchange (which is most like a game where we select random gifts to open from the large pile of colorful wrappings) I received a very interesting thing! It looks to be a fun science-y fish tank kit to grow your own Tripos, or prehistoric sea monsters).

o.O

It is very difficult to explain, but perhaps I can show you later when they successfully grow after a four-weeks' time. If I can actually make them live that long... XD

Also, an answer to LadyLinda's post on the Message Boards: Yes, those were all filled with Lickie Loo Lollipops. ;)

Is it exciting for me to say that I check marked every one of those poll options? Oh I love you guys without a doubt, and I can't wait to see what 2013 will have in its way :D

Hope you're feeling better today! I just got over a cold. I missed your post yesterday:)

I checked off everything on the poll! They all sound like good ideas!:D

Can't wait for the new video! Your Halloween video was totally awesome!!:D

It's only snowed in the mountains so far here. I really want some snow this year unlike last year where we got 2 snowflakes.

Everything looks so yummy!:D

I've never heard of Tripos, I have in the past had Sea Monkeys. But of course this is me we're talking about so I can't keep anything alive.... >.<

Another thing I would love: Bring Samantha (From "Venice") into the games again!!!

I Would Love If Nancy Had More Romance And Sonny Joon. Because Its Cute When Nancy And Ned Are Together! And Sonny Joon is a Mysterious character. And I Love A Great Mystery More Hard And Mysterious The Mystery Gets The More I Love It But I Don't Like Scary Ones!

Ps I love the mystery. Mystery at the ski jump

Hey LJ. Just curious -- are the caption contests decided on by the people who "like" and the one with the most likes wins? Or is the staff at HeR the deciders?

You guys look like you have so much fun working there! I would love to work there when I'm older if I didn't live so far away :(

Oh! I've seen those kits before! They look fun, but I never got one. Those treats look really good!.......But not as good as my mom's cookies.

Sorry you were sick LJ! I have a million ideas for you guys & I am sure every one does, but here are a the ones on top of my head:

-You guy's should set aside part of your merchandise store to all the candy from the games. So we can actually eat all the candies when ever we want! (as long as you make them taste good ;) )

-You guy's should hould a contest to see the biggest ND fan is! So its state wide and you ask questions to all the kids questions from the games. And whoever gets the most questions right wins. & if there is a tie, make another short quiz & whoever wins, here's a shocker, wins. Makes sense?

Sabrina

Wow! Your pot luck looks fun,and deliceous. My sister started our Christmas baking yesterday and I will soon go stuff myself with fudge(chocolate). We are hoping that we will have snow here by Christmas but oddly enough,it's pretty warm here in Ohio.

I voted more Sonny Joon (just one of the things I chose) But I want you to know,I'm not sure I ever want to meet him. It would ruin the great mystery. If he were a phone character, maybe, but his voive should be disguised. I like him the way he is.
Merry Christmas!!

From me,
Silvertongue.

@Shainnen Somerville -- That is awesome! I'm looking forward to all of those things as well. XD

@Future HeR Animator -- Thanks! Yes, I'm feeling better today. :) And yes, more snow would be awesome, I think.

@Sheesh4 -- A member of the team here reads every single post on the Facebook Caption contest, and narrows it down to the top 10. Another lead person reads these and selects the best of the best. :)

@ILUVNANCY!!! -- Start taking more math and computer classes, is my advice for potentially working at a computer game company like ours someday. ;)

@Katie -- Ooo! Your mom makes good cookies, huh? o.O I can only dream of eating her marvelous cookies! (I love cookies!) XD

@Sabrina - I like the idea of having candy in our merchandise store, but there were two different companies, one for merchandise, and one for making and shipping the candy. It might be tough to put them together, but we are not ruling out this idea! :)

Also, that would be a tough decision to name who the biggest fan was! (If I was a judge for that contest, I would vote me, mwahaha! Just kidding...) XD More contests for sure, though!!

@Silvertongue -- Yeah, Soony Joon can be more fun being mysterious and elusive. Maybe we will continue adding more doodles to our games....hehe!
