Haunted Eggs!

It's a new week and we have a new intern here in the Her Interactive office! Maybe we will get to hear from her later after she learns all of the company secrets. ;)

There has been a development in the egg mystery. Unfortunately I have made no progress except to eliminate a few suspects who were out of town and therefore could not have placed A FULL DOZEN set of eggs in my drawer! Ahh! That was super cool. Here's all that I know:

- There was no red stamp on these white chicken eggs
- They were raw, I know because one was cracked just enough to tell
- They were room temperature, so they had to have been there a while, perhaps over the weekend
- Larry, our IT genius whose office is two cubes down from me and arrives super early, did not see anything suspicious today
- it could not have been our Designer and Lead Tester who were both out of state this weekend
- Our CEO and Megan were in Saturday filming something
- Our creative director 100% denies putting any eggs, chocolate or real, ever in my drawer
- This culprit knows when I arrive and leave

The creepiest thing that happened today was that when our intern opened her desk drawer (which I checked last Friday and was empty) she informed me that there was a Koko Kringle colored egg in there. I rushed over and was stunned to see the exact egg I had colored! This was my first egg I mentioned from a couple of weeks ago and had thrown away. Who fished it out of the trash only to re-plant it today? It must be a haunted egg! Your thoughts?

I'll post the weekend puzzle solution tomorrow...I need to think about this egg mystery. >.<

CEO 4 A Day! (Winner)

Today, our CEO-4-A-Day contest winner arrived to claim her throne:

This morning the Her Interactive team went outside for our CEO's arrival and greeted her as she and her family stepped out of their town car. When we re-entered the office, it was bagel breakfast and coffee in the big conference room, where Shari reigned for the majority of the day. Below she signs an important agreement with one of our digital partners, already filling her new role very well!

Shari and her family got to meet with each department and learn a little about how we make our games. The art team showed off some top secret images of our next game, then Shari got to sit in on a walk through meeting, see the sales team's game presentation, learn about the game cover art creative process from Marketing, and they also got to test out Tomb of the Lost Queen in our testing lab!

Lunch with the Leads and a gift bag of treasures (including a copy of Tomb of the Lost Queen and some Koko Kringle Bars) were some added treats for our CEO grand prize winner.

This was a lot of fun today! It was exciting to have such great fans come in and we enjoyed showing them everything we do. We hope that Shari enjoyed being CEO as much as we enjoyed having her and her family. ^_^

CEO Looks Shocked!

I am super thrilled today because we have another caption contest going on!! Check it out: On our Facebook page we uploaded a photo of our CEO holding the phone to his ear, facing the computer monitor with a shocked face. Your challenge is to come up with something fun and clever to post as a caption. What is he looking at? Who is he on the phone with? Why is he making that face? It's up to you to decide. ;)

Behind the Scenes: We Knit

There are a great number of us in the Her Interactive office who knit, and it has become such a great discussion topic that a group got together during lunch break and...well...knit! A couple little birdies told me about it so I grabbed my camera and snapped a few shots. Warning: when lingering for too long playing paparazzi, one is likely to get caught up in the activities, too. >.<

This was for sure a new experience for me, and I only hope to become accustomed to this hobby enough to make something interesting, like the cardigan that our Lead Tester is working on, or our Controller's floppy hat. ^.^
