Jackalopes in The Silent Spy

Last June some Her Interactive team members traveled across the bridge to Seattle, where our favorite local sound recording studio is (it's right near the Safeco baseball field). At the time, I couldn't really share with or show you much since The Silent Spy was still kind of a secret.

The team got together and sang songs and cheered as if we were watching a sports game on TV, chattering away and such. This audio was used at the Ten Raven pub at Giffnock, as well as for the halls outside of the hotel room across the courtyard. The lady you hear singing is actually our tech support! So if you ever have game installation issues and call her, that's her voice you heard! ;)

I was lucky to get a very small part in the game, as some of you guessed correctly. :) I was the cookie lady at the deli in the courtyard. For a little bonus, one of our awesome artists, Jami, modeled a Little Jackalope charm for me in the game! This is hung up in the deli, as well as could be purchased at the souvenir machine in the station.

A few production screenshots Jami took before it went into the game:

HA! I knew you were the cookie woman! I called it first :p I think it's amazing though how the company is now putting the artists voices in the game (Ex. The guy who did Niko's voice in The Deadly Device). It really makes the vibe of the efforts you all put in the game hands on. And I just LOVE the cubed jackalope. I wish you guys can put that in your merchandise store. Maybe as a stuffed animal? That would not be too cute! Or even a 3-D key chain and I can hang it on the rear view window in my car. But if you do stuffed animals, you have to do more than just the jackalope. Maybe the orca in Danger on Deception Island? Or bob from The Secret of Shadow Ranch? Or maybe Isis from The White Wolf of Icicle Creek? That'd not be too cute!!!

I saw your name in the voice credits, and I was wondering what part you played. I guessed the cookie lady, but I wasn't sure. :)

I was so excited when I found out you played a voice in the game! Now whenever I make cookies I think, "That's Little Jackalope!" xD That's cool about the Tech support lady, I'll have to go listen to that again. Sounds like you guys had fun making the recordings.

And I love the Jackalope charm! ♥ So cute.

At the Ten Raven Pub, Kelly is the woman singing? I think I talked to her on the phone and someone told me "she loves to sing"

Any clue when SPY will be released on Amazon as a download? I know it has been delayed and you can purchase the download on your site, but I'm just more comfortable getting it from Amazon...

That's really cool that you got to be in the game. The jackalope charm is really cute.

The singing in the pub was really pretty. That combined with playing Loch Lomond in band has had it stuck in my head for weeks.

I beat SPY, and it was very fun. Looking forward to the next game, especially the sheep. I think it would be cool if there was a knitter in this game, since the location is known for its sheep.
