Music from Ghost of Thornton Hall

To reveal a little more about Ghost of Thornton Hall and for the sake of added excitement, we decided to launch the game's soundtrack before the game officially releases. For $4.99 you can download the complete set of music played in the background of the game, including the scare sequence music clips (which happen really quickly).

In case you weren't aware, we already have our older games' soundtracks available here if you'd like them. (We are still considering putting together the remaining music for games #20-25).

My favorite tracks in GTH are "Past" and "Sweet Charlotte", and a few parts will be heard in the official trailer that will be launched later. Speaking of the future...try solving the weekend puzzle below! *Edited* I completely forgot to give you your directions! Here it is: add to divide.

Also, on an extra note:

~Little Jackalope~
"I find the treasure and stop all crime..."

Hi LJ! I'm exsited for this game, and hoping i'll get some one to play it with me. (: I'll get soooo freaked out. (: I'm sorry but the cover kinda freaks me out. I hope the next one isn't as scary! But I'll still play this one. (:
Oh will there be food in this game?
And will we get to play in the day?
Thx!

Ghost of Thornton Hall soundtrack review (first listen)
Ambience: I liked the touch of the choir, but I would have liked the song to be a bit longer. Also the song reminded me a lot of Message in a Haunted Mansion
Appearance: This song reminded me of Abby's seance from Message in a Haunted Mansion. Didn't really like this song much.
Blindfold: Sounds like traffic. My least favorite. Made my mother say "This was not worth $5"
Creep: This song reminded me A LOT of Shadow at the Water's Edge. I liked it because it sounded suspenseful and the sound effect they use at the end sounds like flies.
Danger: Reminds me of something that should be in the Indiana Jones movie, but other than that and the fact that every song should not be named "Danger" I liked this song (especially the middle) and it sounded suspenseful as well.
Dark: Sounded very much like something from The Curse of Blackmoor Manor, but much darker (hence the name) I really like the deep notes in the song.
Dwelling: Didn't like. Definitely one of my least favorites. Not sure what that creaking noise was about.
Ghost: Very eery. The woman singing reminded me of Camille from Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon, but the song was overkill with the opera at the end.
Ghost Song: Reminds me of White Wolf of Icicle Creek at the beginning, gets better towards the middle and end.
Ghost Walk: By this song, I was already tired of hearing the same sound effects in the songs.
Panic: Sounded like squeaky cemetery gates.
Past: I LOVE THIS SONG! It is my absolute favorite. They used the same instrument as in The Deadly Device which is also what made me love that soundtrack. This song was beautiful, sad, and made your heart want to cry.
Rhyme: Sounds the same as all the others with nothing special put in.
Scare: Just sounds like a lot of noise. Was worried it would blow out my speakers.
Sweet Charlotte: GREAT song! The first Nancy Drew song to have lyrics! (Besides Bridgette's Ballad) I could make out these lyrics "Ladybug, Ladybug, fly away home. Your house is on fire and your children are gone, all except one, Sweet Charlotte Ann and she entered the ___" Can't make out the last word. Fantastic!
Uneasiness: Again, sounded the same as the others with nothing special put in.
Wander: Pretty good. I like the faint church bells in the background and the beat. I also like the sound effect at the very end. It was like a mix between Creature of Kapu Cave and Shadow at the Water's Edge.
I love Past and Sweet Charlotte and I hope they play those two songs the most in the game because these two are the ones that will make the game since they're the only ones that made me feel any emotion.

Ah! The music is up! That's really shocking to know that you guys put it up in so long time away from the release date of the game. I remember that it wasn't too long before DED came out and I heard some of the music (wonderful soundtrack by the way). But thanks to all of you who contributed to putting up GTH's music! And again with this "I solve the case every time..." quote. Your making me start to think that Nancy might not fully solve this case to her best extend. But one can assume and make theories. After all, we're all the Nancy Drew clue crew. I'll try to solve the weekend puzzle. I'll get back to you on that LJ♥

The answer is Flag Ahead, right?

I know I'm asking this question kind of late about the characters. But will Colton be British?

Hey LJ I am SOOOOOOO excited for this game, more than any other in the past few years, and I was just wondering, are you going to reveal any hints for 2013 anytime soon? Also, is the answer to to the puzzle 5? That's what we're thinking on the boards, but were not sure! Dying in suspense for GTH!!!! I didn't buy the soundtrack because I want to be surprised, but from reviews I've heard about it, it sounds great! I love the work you and the Her team do!

Hint for all of those a little confused..

*Spoiler Ahead*

The trick is to "ADD to DIVIDE"
This is basically telling you to add all of the letters highlighted in the first row, and divide them by the second row.
But you can't add letters right? That's why each letter must be turned into it's place in the alphabet.
A=1 B=2 and so on.

At the end of the adding the first line you get should be added to be 30 and the second line added to be 15. Now divide.

Since the answer is 2, my thoughts are that is when the new trailer is coming out!

5 days until the trailer release? Btw @Rachel Stevens: how did you get that answer?

This is a crazy idea! What if all of them were the culprit.

For example they wanted to rescue Jessalyn from Colton because they found out that he was a dangerous person and so they faked the kidnapping. J was in on this too.

But Colton, (say he wanted to inherit the family money and therefore J had to be found) so he hires Savannah to investigate(he DID believe in the paranormal) and Savannah calls Nancy.

It's a little far-fetched, but ... ok, I don't have a "but", it's very far-fetched. It's just that it's very hard for me to believe that a family member would be capable to kidnap someone they're related to.

So it's either Colton, Addison, or Savannah ("everybody is guilty until proven otherwise" ~Poirot). I would have to include the family members to this list too, but

*SPOILER ALERT**************** in cap anna did kidnap lukas even though he was her nephew.******************END OF SPOILER*

So I honestly don't know what to think. There have been situations in which a family member kidnapped or even killed a relative just so they can inherit money, manors, etc. In the British history for example. It's filled with cases like this. I would somehow feel empty on the inside if J was kidnapped by Carla, Wade or Harper. By all of them though, not so much.

Then again, Harper could not be Harper, but someone impersonating her, because it's very easy to impersonate a "crazy" person. And the impersonator could have taken J.

Or maybe, (and this could really be a turn of events) the real ghost could have taken her. And here we have 2 situations:
a) The ghost kidnapped her to save her from some sort of upcoming danger.
b) The ghost wasn't trying to save her.

So my suspects list includes every character except for Bess and Ned.
But if Bess and Ned turned bad and... OMG someone should stop me. I am addicted to ND. :(

@Anonymous, I got the answer by unscrambling the red letters. They spell out "Flag Ahead" perfectly.

Hey, LJ. Were you the one who recorded the song "Sweet Charlotte"?

Ladybug Ladybug, fly away home, your house is on fire, your children are gone, all except one, Sweet Charlotte Ann, and she hid under the frying pan.
