Ghost of Thornton Hall Box Art Revealed!
Today's the day!!! Enough gab, take a look at this cover:
For a while Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake was my favorite cover art, but now this one has made it to my #1 favorite spot. What do you make of this? The graveyard with the ghost lingering by a crypt, looking on and thinking about her past...the old, dilapidated manor to the right casts fear into the minds of those who visit...and the ghost girl, front and center with the reflection of the flames from her charred past illuminates her perplexed face.

WOW!!!!!!! I LOVE the cover art!!! There's a sinister atmosphere in the air! =) This makes me even MORE excited to play GTH!!!! Thank you SO much Her for making these AMAZING games!!

Based on the cover art and the teaser trailer I think GTH is going to be about a ghost girl (girl in the center of the cover art and also in the graveyard in the background) who died in a fire (hence the "charred eyes") during some sort of masquerade ball that took place at Thornton Hall during Victorian times. The ghost girl is a Thornton and is dead in present day. When Jessalyn Thornton goes back to live at/fix up Thornton Hall the ghost girl is angered and upset (more than usual) and captures Jessalyn. Now Nancy has to save Jessalyn from the ghost girl.
If I'm right I think that would be SUCH an interesting story because we all have learned that "ghosts are never real, and it's always some culprit" but in this game we will not only have to save Jessalyn, but put the ghost girl's spirit/remains/secrets to rest. For once, a ghost will be real.
I do have to say though, it's disappointing when you put faces on the cover art because the 3D characters NEVER look the same as the ones on the box. When you compare box art characters to in game characters, in game always looks morphed in some way. (SAW, DED, SCKR, HAU, and ASH are all perfect examples)
Is there going to be a sleeve for the bonus edition/standard like the other games? I know with Deadly Device you guys stopped doing the sleeves!! On the bright side, you are going green, but they did look so cool...

My first thought was "Ew!" because she really looks dead, but looking at it as a whole I LOVE it!!! It looks so creepy and romantic. I am excited!!!!

After seeing this, I started squealing and continued doing so for a full 2 minutes! I had to show the cover art to my sister and dad (neither of whom play Nancy Drew Games, but both of whom were amused by my excitement) before I could finally sit still again. XD The cover art is absolutely perfect -- all that I hoped it would be and more! Now I think I really will go crazy from anticipation, impatience, and curiosity regarding the game itself!!
Wow! It looks incredible!! :) The detail of the necklace is interesting, I wonder if it's an emblem of the family's? The ghost girl is wearing a pretty dress too. :)

Ahhhhhh! I love it! I'm already afraid. I mean,I like being alittle afraid,and I've never played,but I've heard alot about Shadow at the Waters Edge,I just don't know what to expect with this one.

the cover art for the last couple of games have been really disturbing. Why is that? I have had to hide games with scary covers under games without scary covers. I mean, all the covers have been scary to a degree, but not this scary.
You guys did great at designing! This one is definitely my favorite front cover! :)
This cover art literally took my breath away. It's so beautiful and detailed, I think I'm going to be looking t this all day. Well worth the wait.

That is literally the best artwork I've seen you guys have. Not other than Danger by Design (I don't know what is it with that cover, but it seems so soothing to me), but this has to be the most scariest, yet beautiful, and tempting so much to someone to pick it up and read more on what it's about. Great advertisment, and great work HeR! The date is coming closer and closer to come <3
