What about the weekend puzzle?

WE NEED TO BRING BACK STAY TUNED FOR DANGER. THAT WAS THE BEST GAME EVER!! If we brought back Secrets Can Kill, then we should definitely be able to get STFD back again too.

Too bad I don't have a Facebook account. It would've been nice if this tournament was also held on your Tumblr and Twitter accounts - especially Tumblr, since there are so many Nancy Drew fans there and votes could be cast by reblogs. I'm looking forward to seeing the final winner, though!

I actually ended up battling the brackets myself. I figured since HER is doing this, I might as well see what my all time best game would be.
I made sure not to judge by which I like most, and included time play, story, graphics, and gameplay.
For the final two competitors, I got The Phantom of Venice and The Captive Curse. And the winner is... The Captive Curse.

@Gina Is A Nancy Drew Fan -- We will not be offering it on smaller devices like phones and iPods because the games are too detailed and would not be the best playing experience. We are looking into it still, but we are more focused on making GTH available on Android tablets and the Kindle Fire at the moment.

@nerdalert -- Check out the following post I made later in the day. It includes the weekend puzzle answer. :)

@Mary -- We would love to have STD remastered...however, not enough people like SCK REMASTERED. Also, if we spent time to work on STD, we would have to push back our newer games a year out. We couldn't work on both at the same time.

I do hope Herinteractive can remaster Stay Tuned for Danger someday! The original ND games are my favorites and I think they appeal to those of us who started playing when the games first came out.

Cool, I hope my favorite wins!

Also, I hope that there are more playable characters in the future (for instance, you get to play George, Bess, & Ned just like in Alibi in Ashes). I think it's more fun that way.

Anyone else think that The Silent Spy is going to be the winner?

Either Silent Spy or Alibi in Ashes. Those were my favs.

My last two was Blackmoor and WAc. I had a pretty hard time deciding. But WAC won in the end. :)

I'm just curious... Will those that make it to the final two or even final four be looked at more closely for what the fans like and dislike for future games? I've been playing since The Scarlet Hand came out and there are some obvious trends and I've found that usually a really strong game is followed by a less popular game or a shorter game. Additionally, some of your best games in my opinion (and by best I mean plot-line, mini-games, etc. not interface) are your "older" ones such as Ghost Dogs and (my all-time favorite) Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon. However, I think that some games (such as Ransom) had real potential plot-wise but fell short. While it is cool to go "abroad" that doesn't necessarily mean it will be an amazing game it is the content. Haunting of M is a good example of a great location and plot but the ending was ridiculous and caused me to dislike the game. But when Nancy went to Egypt, I think that's my favorite of the "newer" Nancy Drew games. While I appreciate you all expanding the market and grabbing the attention if the younger fans, don't forget that it's the now older fans who have supported you through the years. It would be nice if Nancy could grow along with us or there could be a tribute to the old-style of the games with the plots (they felt more plausible, less randomly put together). Ghost of Thorton was spooky, which was awesome, but to be mature doesn't necessarily mean scary. More adult issues like you presented in SPY would be amazing. And I realize not everyone wants that sort of thing so perhaps HER is at a point where they should think about splitting the line. Keep the current line of games with the style but add a more mature version for the now mid-twenties fan base. I don't know; I obviously don't work for you guys but it's a fans opinion. The feel of the older games (I use the word older hesitantly) which lasts until Venice or maybe even Crystal Skull were in my opinion, the best. But I have liked several newer games such as Tomb and Waters Edge, and Warnings. Who knows, perhaps I'm just biased; but a revival of the old school characters or plots (come on. Nancy is stuck on a train? Classic.) thanks for reading my long comment which was more like a massive collection of rants!
Thanks

I have to agree with what Anonymous said (I'm just curious... Will those that make it to the final two or even final four be looked...)

The whole think is pretty much word for word what I think. I really loved the older ones but I feel like the new ones are getting shorter and more random. I feel like I have to ask for more hints because I'm finding myself wonder what to do next and then seeing it I'm like "well how was I suppose to know that?" But I do love you guys and I now after 29 games its hard to come up with new storie lines but I feel like you rushed some of the games a bit too much. But as I said I love you guys and am still addicted to your games.

Yes ! I feel the same :) I miss the more classic elements of the "older" Nancy Drew games. Well said, anonymous.

Hey, Little Jackalope I noticed that the games which are liked instead of
commented on for voting almost always won. Just thought I'd mention it.

My all time favorite is Treasure in the Royal Tower, the first Nancy Drew game I ever played when I was younger. I love all the other older fans commenting how the "older" games are their faces too. While I still play the new ones and enjoy them a lot, I feel sometimes they are really random and in some instances, much too cheesy. I think it says a lot from the fans that the final four are all older games. I would love to see Nancy Drew games taken back to their roots, but I'm a loyal fan and I'm just glad there are Nancy Drew games period to play.
