Looks like some progress has been made on the weekend puzzle! You guys have a part of it correct, and at that point it wasn't intended to make sense. The second step is a variant of a cipher. :) Extended hint will be saved for tomorrow.

Wow - I used to have one of those ND magnifying glasses! I wore it proudly ... talk about a blast from the past!
I think I have one of those magnifying glass necklaces somewhere on my dresser.

Ohlalala! Gotta love the mixture of Nancy Drew and the Irish heritage. Sadly, I know myself well enough to know that I'd pay ridiculous amounts of money for little keychains like that, if I could. Borderline obsession, I think.
But that must have been an exciting surprise to discover them!
