One of my most recent intern duties involved organizing HerInteractive’s book library (replete, with of course, tons of Nancy Drew novels!). I must be honest, I haven’t had much experience with the Dewey Decimal system since elementary school (I learned what all of the call letters meant then and subsequently forgot everything, now I just memorize the numbers/letters when looking in a library), but after organizing everything I think I could pursue a librarians assistant internship soon.
There have been so many different versions of Nancy Drew: the classics, the graphic novels, the mysteries, …
Here are some cool ones:
This is the Swedish version of Nancy Drew (she’s known as “Kitty” to the Swedes). HI has several different copies of the “Kitty” books in its collection. I’ll have to get out my Swedish dictionary to figure out what the titles mean though…
The title in the picture means something like:
ReplyDeleteThe Case of the Forgotten Song.
Wow.Awsome library!
ReplyDeleteCool....thank you thirtyandover!
ReplyDeleteLarissa
lol... I have the book on top. That's really neat, to see it in a different language.
ReplyDeleteThe Case of the Lost Song came with my copy of The Final Scene (the game, that is). You guys must really like that book, heh heh!
ReplyDeleteI never knew they had the Kitty series! That's interesting, wish I could read Swedish! Good job with the Dewey decimal organizing ;)
ReplyDeleteWow! That is one awesome library!
ReplyDeleteAwsome library! I would love it just to come to your library! I want to read the graphic novels, are they any good?
ReplyDeleteThe lamp by the stack of Swedish books looks almost EXACTLY like the ones in the Paseo Del Flor High library in the first Nancy Drew game, "Secrets can Kill"!!
