Most of you were correct, this speci...Hey everyone! Most of you were correct, this specific floppy disk was from Message in a Haunted Mansion. Later games have different writing on the disks.

@Nancy Drew Forever1929 -- There certainly a lot of colorful, fun looking floppy disks, I agree!

@krazy rabbit 23 -- Cool! Looks like you've got some game time to plan ahead for, now!

@Anonymous -- Right and right! It did come from an artist here...and it was put in MHM. ;)

@Dedicated Nancy Drew Gamer -- Yay! We are glad you like the new UI. our Creative Director worked really hard on it. :)

@Bryce Hitchcock -- Yep, the floppy is getting so old, that our younger audience might not know what it even means...o.O

@Teagpow -- I like your thinking! I just might do something sneaky like that...but maybe when I discover who the real culprits are...

@Thenwink -- Hooray for you! You are holding onto something that will soon be called "vintage". ^.^ And yes, I believe they still make them, but they are just harder to find. :/

(And thanks for reading! No I've never used a floppy disc, we used to have some around when we got our first computer in 2000 or 2001 but then we threw them away since they were never used.

You're such a good artist Little Jackalope! What's you're REAL name anyway? Have you ever told us? Does anybody know? Is it Her Interactive's best kept secret? ;)

Yeah, the new menu was really classy. My brother loved it (he's new to the ND games) but I didn't like it too much. Sure it was nice not to hear Nancy's long 'center of operations' speech. But I missed the fun-ness of seeing a scrapbook, along with souvenirs from past games. Like you said that little icon was fun. Brings back happy ND-playin' memories. 'Wish they could update the new interface with a little of that.

-Hannah (Drew Detective)Hannahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05249405253548438678noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5095727196596955026.post-22221779409422789072012-07-10T06:40:23.149-07:002012-07-10T06:40:23.149-07:00Ah, floppy disks! Well, as much as I loved the old user interface, I'm glad it didn't have a picture of a CD for the save button.

I also liked how the UI was slightly different for each of the older games. My only woe was that while you're having a conversation with a character, you couldn't move your "magnifying glass" outside of the dialog box, which meant no saving in the middle of an important conversation. :(

Good luck with your egg mystery!!ComicalCraftynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5095727196596955026.post-11354060051018615352012-07-10T05:16:47.149-07:002012-07-10T05:16:47.149-07:00Message in a Haunted Mansion!Message in a Haunted Mansion!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5095727196596955026.post-5941171076148188352012-07-09T22:11:29.821-07:002012-07-09T22:11:29.821-07:00MHM! :D

I'm a 15 year old, but I still use floppy diskettes. ;)
I have a WIN 95 (I love the older Windows operating systems. ^_^)computer that I use primarily just for writing text files and stuff, and the only way of exporting my files is via floppy.
(I haven't gotten any new floppies in years, though.
